  • We have those too! Currently, we’re focusing on expanding Kaffeeform and have many exciting products and projects planned. Unfortunately, we’re unable to consider individual proposals and business ideas at the moment.

  • It was a long and exciting journey from the initial idea to the finished cup. You can learn more about the story of Kaffeeform here.

Recycling

  • Currently, our need for coffee grounds is well covered, so unfortunately, we cannot accept any additional. We want to continue sourcing the coffee grounds as locally as possible in Berlin and avoid long transport routes. If you have large quantities of coffee grounds to give away, you can still send us an email to service(at)kaffeeform.com so that we can consider you in the future.

  • No. Compostable according to EU standards and definition means that it decomposes by 90% within six months in a compost environment. Our products are designed for long-term use. They are durable and robust – good everyday companions that last a long time. Therefore, they do not decompose on their own and are not compostable.

  • Our products are designes to be reused. They are particularly robust and durable and are intended to bring joy for a long time. If you do want to part with them, you can dispose of them with household waste. The amount of CO2 released during thermal disposal corresponds to the amount bound during the plant’s growth.

  • Yes. All of our materials are plant-based. The manufacturing process is also free from animal products and animal testing. Thus, our products are vegan.

  • No. Our materials and products are free from melamine resin, BPA, formaldehyde, and other plasticizers.

  • The walls of all plant cells are made of biopolymers, which makes them the most common organic compound on earth. These long-chain molecular compounds can be readily shaped and therefore offer a future-orientated alternative in the age of petroleum-based plastics.

  • Our materials and packaging are free from fossil-based plastics. For our materials we use bioplastics with a recycling component. Our packaging is made of cardboard, so it does not contain plastic and is fully recyclable.

  • Our Weducer Cups Essential are made from plant-based polymers and recycled wood fibers. Our double-walled Weducer Cups (250ml / 350ml) additionally contain recycled coffee grounds. In general, this is referred to as a bioplastic with a recycling component. We do not use melamine resin, BPA, formaldehyde, or other plasticizers in our materials.

  • We collect the coffee grounds from local partners and selected cafes in Berlin with the help of a bicycle collective. We pay special attention to the origin of the coffee and ensure fair, social, and transparent cooperation with farmers and traders.

Kaffeeform products

  • In our single-walled Weducer Cups Essential, hot drinks remain pleasantly warm for about one hour. In our double-walled Weducer Cups (350ml and 250ml), hot drinks stay warm for about an hour and a half due to their better insulating properties.

  • Your lid or cap is not sealing properly, and coffee is leaking from the rim? Then please check the following points first:

Is there a sealing ring in the lid? If not, we’re happy to send you one (email to service(at)kaffeeform.com). Is the sealing ring positioned correctly? Ensure it’s not twisted.

Initially, it may take a few attempts to get the lid properly closed. Try it over the sink first. Place the lid straight, i.e., horizontally, on the cup. Turn it to the left counterclockwise until it clicks. Only then screw the lid tightly to the right clockwise.
Please find a video instruction below:

If it’s still leaking, feel free to contact service(at)kaffeeform.com, and we’ll replace your lid. You have a double-walled cup, and it’s leaking or falling apart at the seam? Please also contact service(at)kaffeeform.com, and we’ll replace your cup.

  • The Weducer Cup comes with two lids since March 2024: a drinking lid and a fully closing lid (Weducer Cap). This makes your cup even more versatile for everyday use. If a lid is missing, feel free to contact service(at)kaffeeform.com.

  • With our Weducer Cup Essential, the walls of the cup can get a bit warm. We recommend holding the cup on the bottom for hot drinks, where the material is thicker. Our double-walled Weducer Cups (250ml and 350ml) are well insulated, so the walls don’t really get warm.

  • Of course. Our products have been tested in an independent laboratory and comply with the strict guidelines of EU food regulations. They do not contain any harmful substances such as melamine resins, BPA, or formaldehyde.

  • Our cups are dishwasher-friendly, but we recommend hand washing. Since our products are made from natural materials, frequent washing in the dishwasher may cause them to roughen or color might fade over time. However, this is entirely harmless.

  • No. Since our materials are made from natural composites, we do not recommend heating the cups in the microwave.

  • Our recommendation is to briefly wash the cups by hand with a soft sponge and natural detergent.
